I joined Operose Health after completing CCT in February 2024. I was invited in for a look around the practice and an informal chat with the practice manager and clinical lead. I liked what I saw, everyone was friendly, so I applied for the position of Salaried GP. Following a successful interview, I requested trial shifts before joining the team. The trial shifts went well, and I was soon starting my role as a salaried GP. I have found the team very supportive, all the staff are really helpful. There is a clinical meeting every week for us to discuss challenging cases, which I find particularly helpful and interesting. If you're looking for a flexible salaried role, in a great location, alongside a friendly team, I would encourage new GPs to apply.

My expectations were that the practice would be quite busy and large. I also thought that there would be difficulty with getting used to new referral pathways. However, so far it has been going great. The team is very friendly and getting used to referral pathways has not been difficult as colleagues are approachable about any queries and Slack has made communicating with the team much easier. The practice is very friendly with a wide demographic of patients, which makes for an interesting caseload. Patient continuity is encouraged at this practice which is wonderful for patients and clinicians alike, and is important for learning and development as a newly qualified doctor.
